...Il
tempo fugge nonché sfugge a qualsiasi definizione--- (Margherita Hack)
In altre
emplice operazione: o sservare senza pregiudizi, s enza formare teorie,

...Time flies and escapes from any definition - (Margherita Hack)
The problem of the flow of time was emphasized by philosophers of the
second half of t he n ineteenth century; however, it was s tudied i n
greater depth by modern Physics. The l atter provides u s with f
ormulas t hat s how how things change i n function of the variable
"time". The real question is asking what the present is - we can affirm
that only things that exist here and now are part of the present.
Neither the past nor the future do exist. Modern Physics makes t he
question even m ore intriguing. E insteinfs Theory of Relativity shows
us that even the concept of the present is not well-defined: to ask if
s omething happens right now makes s ense only for things t hat a re
nearby in space; the present, conceived as the set of all events
happening right now in the universe is only a limitation of our
perception. In other words, t he present as we conceive it does not
exist. One must observe time, not judge it but absorb it intimately
until he does not give importance to its flow anymore. Hiroshi
Matsumoto does not attempt a description or a transcription of time; he
does not want to develop scientific o r philosophical theories about
it. He forcibly brings the viewer to a simple process – to
observe
time without prejudice, without forming theories; to absorb its course
without taking

"Asian overview 2010" is the third edition of the annual show that Il
Ramo d'Oro dedicates to meet the artists from Far East. Italian and
foreign artists will compare their creativity in a meeting that
represents the desire to build a common culture and to feel citizens of
the world. If there's anything that unites artists as diverse in
origin, experiences, issues and ways of expression is in fact the
knowledge that very different cultural roots can only converge today in
a common destiny.

Wong

There is a parallel universe, made of electronic correspondences, where
it is possible to be citizens of the world although living in an era of
impassable borders, wars, censorship.
A dimension in which anyone can build their own network escaping
social, personal, political, geographical conditioning.
This universe, improperly called virtual, is able to produce concrete
events such as this exhibition in which artists working in a variety of
locations express their will to develop their creativity together
Vincenzo Montella
